Subprocessors

A subprocessor is a third-party company that processes your personal data on our behalf. This page is the complete list referred to in Section 7 of our Privacy Policy. Every company below is bound by a Data Processing Agreement, may only use your data to deliver the service described, and is prohibited from selling it or using it for their own advertising.

Identity and safety verification
These vendors see the most sensitive data we hold. They are used only when you actively complete a verification step.

Calls, live sessions and messaging
Audio and video are encrypted in transit. These vendors route the streams; they do not record them, and neither do we.

Signing in with another account
These apply only if you choose that provider to sign in. If you register with an email address and password, none of them receive anything.

Maps, places and location
Map tiles and address lookups are requested by your device as you pan a map or type an address, so these providers see your IP address and the area you are looking at.

Payments and subscriptions
DatingRealPeople never receives or stores your card number. Purchases are handled entirely by the app store you bought through.

Services that are not subprocessors
For completeness, the following are part of how the Service is built but do not receive your personal data, and so are not listed above:
- Over-the-air app updates are served from our own servers. The updater component we use has its usage-analytics reporting switched off, so no device identifier or version telemetry is sent to its vendor.
- Doppler stores our server configuration and credentials. It holds no user data.
- Add-to-calendar links. Choosing to add a date to Google Calendar or Apple Calendar opens that provider in your own browser or calendar app. That is your action with your own provider, not a transfer by us.
International transfers
Several vendors above are located in the United States. Where personal data of individuals in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom is transferred there, we rely on the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses together with the transfer risk assessments described in Section 11 of our Privacy Policy.
Changes to this list
We will update this page whenever we add, remove or replace a subprocessor. Where a new subprocessor will process data in a materially different way, we will give notice as described in Section 14 of the Privacy Policy before the change takes effect.
